My name is Jossy Gramajo Vera, and I am a bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist passionate about helping children and families find their voice and reach their full potential. I provide speech and language services to individuals from early intervention through adolescence, with a special focus on bilingual evaluations and supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other various disorders. I earned my Master's degree from Mercy College, NY, and completed my bilingual extension through Teachers College, Columbia University, NY. Throughout my career, I have been deeply committed to serving families from underserved and low-socioeconomic communities, ensuring that all children have access to high-quality speech and language services regardless of their circumstances.

I currently work full-time in a public school district in New York, where I provide individualized and group speech-language therapy for students in fifth through eighth grade. My areas of expertise include expressive and receptive language disorders, social communication challenges, and articulation and phonological disorders. In addition to direct therapy services, I conduct bilingual speech and language evaluations for students from kindergarten through twelfth grade, helping ensure that culturally and linguistically diverse learners receive accurate and comprehensive assessments. Some of the most meaningful experiences of my professional journey have been participating in medical mission trips to Colombia and Peru. During these trips, I worked alongside healthcare teams supporting individuals in need of cleft lip and cleft palate repairs, as well as microtia ear reconstruction. These experiences reinforced my belief in the life-changing impact of communication, advocacy, and compassionate care.

When I'm not working with children and families, I enjoy reading, discovering new coffee shops, hiking, and running. Most importantly, I love spending time with my husband, our baby girl, and our three dogs, who make life wonderfully busy and full of adventure. I am honored to be part of each family's journey and strive to create a supportive, collaborative environment where children can develop the communication skills and confidence they need to thrive at home, in school, and beyond.
